Frostbite
Signs

The skin of frozen extremities will appear pale and cold often separating from the underlying tissues.

What to do if frostbite occurs
  1. Wrap pet in towel or blanket
  2. Place warm water bottles or other source of heat between your pet and the towel, to restore body core temperature. Be careful not to burn your pet!
  3. If you can not get to the veterinarian immediately, bathe frozen parts in increasingly warm water until pink color is restored.
  4. Confine to box or carrier, and go to the veterinarian immediately!
